ABOUT  ROBERT F. HAPP Commercial Illustrator

My drawing and illustration interests began at an early age. My Uncle Ed was a Commercial Illustrator and took a keen interest in my emerging abilities... investing the the time to nurture my skills in sketching, painting and illustration.

In college I pursued studies in Graphic Design and City Planning, eventually devoting 12 years to a drafting table and CAD station before moving into Marketing and Sales with a business degree.  

I’ve always had a passion for drawing and in recent years have returned to the gifts I began to foster as a child. I have enjoyed showing my work at regional art fairs and accepting commissions from clients throughout the Midwest and beyond.

What do I do? 

I draw and Illustrate the places you treasure: Whether it is the home of your childhood, your college dorm, the Lighthouse where you became engaged, or the dwelling that you cherish today, send me a picture and I’ll bring those memories to life in a beautiful illustration.  

Marissa and I have 5 beautiful adult children and 7 wonderful grand-children.  We live in Aurora, IL—40 miles west of Chicago—and we have a rich life.  I look forward to hearing from you!
